The old adage “mother knows best” is one of the things that comes to mind when I think of Emily and Andrew because, believe it or not, these two lovebirds were set up by their moms. As the story would have it, their mothers went to the same hair salon, would often see one another and, after realizing that both of their kids were the same age and single, gently suggested to them that they meet up one night. Thankfully Emily and Andrew listened because after that first date the rest was history, and I wound up photographing their wedding several years later. After looking at wedding venues, Emily and Andrew decided to get married at their favorite spot – their house. A cute cape house nestled in an adorable little town in Connecticut, it boasts a large backyard perfect for parties. After several trips to the garden store and a gazillion hours logged landscaping, Emily and Andrew created an oasis perfect for their wedding day. The yard was a labor of love and, as they twirled underneath the twinkling lights, it seemed there was no better place for these two lovebirds to start the next chapter of their life together.
